So what is Let's Thrive Baltimore?
We are a Youth-led Adult partnership Organization founded in 2016 to provide Holistic Community Support, Strategies, and Awareness for families impacted by trauma in Baltimore City. We build leaders through our Ambassadorship and Jr Ambassadorship program, which exposes our leaders to Conflict Resolution, Public Speaking, Managing Mental Health, Navigating Safe Dating, Financial literacy, Workforce Development, and more. We believe that by supporting Baltimore's youth and families, We can be a thriving Baltimore!
So what does Let's Thrive Baltimore do?
We have served over 9,000 individuals annually during events such as the Christmas and Back Pack Giveaway. We run projects including mentoring, job programs, facilitating Youth Committees that Tackle Gun-violence and human Trafficking, and host support groups for our youth and their families; financial literacy, career consulting, and therapeutic programs for families; housing, rental, and cash assistance for survivors of violence; and cleaning and greening projects in the city.
When the COVID-19 outbreak began, we began serving 1,000 meals a day in Baltimore and secured funding to continue that service until December 2022.
